2. Lite-Brite Worlds of Wander

This is Illuminarium’s most gamified experience to date. A cinematic journey that combines the nostalgia of the Lite-Brite light box toy with immersive technology. Explore 3 cinematic worlds: Ocean World, Dino World & Future World. Sensors track guests, allowing them to interact with floors & walls.

After the show, guests can play the original Lite-Brite game in personal or large formats (with 12 game stations), craft their own art with Lite-Brites, or find inspiration in the Lite-Brite gallery showcasing artworks by Toronto artists. They can also buy a Lite-Brite photo souvenir.

3. Asado in Toronto

Chefs from Toronto and Argentina will prepare traditional Argentinian dishes at stations along Market Street, with live music, drinks and dancing. Dance performances will take place 12pm onwards (both days). Some food might be sold out on Sunday, so better to visit on Saturday, and you might as well check out St Lawrence’s Saturday Farmer’s Market (5am – 3pm). Vegetarian options are available.

4. Beaches International Jazz Festival – Last weekend

Groovin’ in the Park

Featuring soul, funk, world & house music. Don’t miss Saturday’s kids’ dance party from 2pm – 4pm. The festival will include food, a beer garden and shaded seating.

5. Summer Live Music Fest

Live jazz, world music, pop & a cappella performances by emerging bands. Enjoy a lakeside dinner with your kids, taking in the city view. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs or umbrella. Don’t miss Sunday’s 5pm a cappella performance by FreePlay. This festival will include food & drink, an activity zone (with face painting) and a beer bar.
