The vibe at Daphne

Kid-free night out

I’m spotlighting the ambiance of my favourite restaurants in the city. They’re not necessarily newly opened, just have great energy (and food of course). Daphne is a modern American restaurant featuring a seasonal menu, which opened last summer (Jun 23).

It has four dining spaces:

  1. The front dining room

A semi-enclosed space that combines bench and chair seating, with large windows running the length of the back wall.

  1. The main dining hall

An open space with arched ceilings, featuring an open kitchen at one end and mixed chair & bench seating throughout.

  1. Bar

A mirror-lined hallway leads to a private bar area.

  1. Garden terrace

Includes a south and west-facing patio.

It’s open for:

Brunch

Sat & Sun: 10.30am – 3pm

Lunch

Mon – Fri 11.30am – 3pm

Dinner

Daily 5pm – close

Happy hour

Mon – Fri

2 – 6pm at the bar

I went on a Thursday night – all the dining areas were lively. The restaurant calmed down considerably at around 10pm, although it’s officially open til 11pm from Thu – Sat. So tuck the kids in early if you want to go on a weeknight for this one!
