Here are 5 ways to enjoy Pride Toronto with kids this weekend:

1. Family Pride

Family Pride is a fun-filled experience on the grounds of Church Street School.

Saturday
Face painting as well as:
11am – 11.45am Magic show
12pm – 12.30pm Storytelling (by Troy Jackson)
1pm – 1.30pm Puppet theatre (by Adam Starchild)
2pm – 3pm Exotic animal encounters
3.15pm – 3.45pm Irish dance performance
4pm – 4.45pm Solo storytelling play (called Fireside Munsch)

Sunday
11am – 11.45am Magic show
12.15pm – 12.45pm Storytime (by Titus Androgynous)
1pm – 1.15pm Dance performance (by Cassius Siriano)
2pm – 3pm Exotic animal encounters
3.30pm – 4pm Drag storytime (by Fay & Fluffy

Location: Church Street Public School (83 Alexander St)
When: Sat 29 June – Sun 30 June  
Time: 10am – 5pm 
Price: Free
Age: 0-12 yrs (adults not allowed with children above this age)

2. Art Zone

Sat 1pm – 3pm

Art Battle Toronto will bring a showcase of diverse visual artists.

Sat 3pm – 11pm, Sun 1pm – 11pm 

StreetARTToronto PRIDE booth: 

  • 9 artists will be painting live 
  • Family friendly art making activity 
  • Interactive area – contribute by writing a tag for the mosaic 

Location: Outdoors on Church St between Carlton St & Granby St
When: Sat 29 June – Sun 30 June  
Time: Sat & Sun (1pm – 11pm) 
Price: Free
Age: All

3. Street Fair

It will include:

  • Local artisan and food stalls
  • DJs and stage entertainment
  • Food Zone (along Church St between Gerrard St and Gould St). Wellesley Stage and TD Main Stage will have food trucks in the GA area.

Location: Church St (from Bloor to Dundas)
When: Sat 29 June – Sun 30 June  
Time: 1pm – 11pm

4. Pride Parade

Watch performances, spectacle, music and celebration.

  • Viewing spots along Yonge St. and Dundas St W.
  • Pack snacks!
  • Free water stations at various intersections, including Carlton Stand Yonge St. 

The march end destination in Nathan Phillips Square will feature closing acts and a Beer Garden.

Location: Starts at the corner of Church and Bloor St
When: Sun 30 June 
Time: 2pm (lasts about 3-4 hrs)

5. The Pride Sober Oasis

A space to relax on the lawn, meditate, stretch it out, and play some games. It’s best to bring kids before the performances as they may not find them engaging.

Performances:

Sat (1pm-11pm): Breathwork, DJ and drag 

Sun (3pm – 10pm): Soundbath healing and musical performances 

Location: Paul Kane Parkette (58 Wellesley St E)
